An American coin silver three-piece tea service, maker's mark of William Gale and John Stickler, New York, circa 1819.Engraved as desended in the family: "MW; "18-JAG-19"; "18-MVB-53"; "19-JAT-04". Of global oblong form on a conforming foot, applied with gadroon borders, the lids surmounted with acorn finials, the engraving indicating that the service was descended in the same family circa 1819, 1853, and 1904; height of the teapot is 11 3/4 inches, weight of the service is 67.20 troy ounces.
